Deadlines

“I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by”. Douglas Adams.

I struggle with deadlines quite a bit, and never cease to amaze myself as to how far I push them. Why do I do it to myself is a repeated mantra here at Badham Towers with a sparkling degree of regularity. I am lucky to be so busy, but do worry that this deadline issue is a symptom of not being able to say no. It could also be a sign of someone with not the merest hint of planning skills. I think sometimes, its the only way I can actually get myself to work. So I sit once more with a coffee in reach, and an empty document staring back from the screen, knowing that the printer is ready to churn out the meisterwork at the end. Perhaps I should stop blogging and get on with it?
