Forbidden Broadway

We all went on a trip to that there London yesterday.  In order to humiliate friends and family, I took the camera of course, and behaved like a total tourist.  We were taken by friends to see Forbidden Broadway at the Menier Chocolate Factory.  I cried with laughter from start to finish, but then in a moment of quiet reflection felt slightly guilty.  As someone who strives to write the very best material they can, was it fair of me to sit and laugh at some sometimes quite strong parodies?  Nobody was safe, from Elaine Paige, to Liza Minelli to Angela Lansbury to the Child casts of many West End productions.  It WAS very clever, and very funny, and the performances throughout were faultless, but I couldn’t help feeling slightly uncomfortable.  Perhaps I am just becoming a sensitive old Luvvie in my old age?  My next post however, really did give cause for concern.
