Writing

Writing and software

One of the regular irritations for me, is my lack of perseverance with writing software.  I write, and I am a geeky type, so surely this should be a match made in heaven.  I am currently writing a full length show, and have made myself start to use something called Scrivener.  I have used it before, but have always given up after a scene or so, a I just get into the swing of writing and give up.  This time however, I have a project with over 60 characters in it, so I think I need help.  So far the interface is good, and I am now getting to grips with how to use it.  The whole package works on the system of Index cards that writers so often use.  You can move the individual scenes around and re-arrange to your hearts content and not have to worry about reformatting or anything.  I’m sure it does lots of other groovy things as well, which I might write about at a later date, but I need to carry on writing as I have some of the worse jokes known to man to include.
