Busy

I received an email from a client/friend this week that asked how I was, and that I was not allowed to use the word “busy” in the answer!  Whilst it made me smile, it did get me thinking.  There is little more irritating in the modern world than the standard stock answer of “Busy” to the question “How are You?”  Yet, if I am entirely honest, I think it has become my stock response.  I am now going to try to avoid using it, as it does sound like someone saying “Look at me, aren’t I important, let me over-validate my existence”.  This, I suppose, is also the basis of all social media, and as I spend much of my time on that as well, I should really just pop on the old hypocrite hat now!

Since my last update, I have been “Over employed”.  All things theatrical have been going well, and I also now have a small business dealing in Social Media consultancy.  As we really haven’t employed ourselves fully lately, we though it would also be a good idea to move house, which we shall be doing over the next few weeks.  I shall though, try to avoid THAT word.
