Happy New Year

I’ve taken a few weeks away from the Interweb, to recharge, Relax and lick various wounds. Last year was hard for many of us. 2021 seems to have started in a similar vein, and I am trying to avoid the pitfalls of the last lockdown, by trying my hardest to diversify and work in different ways.

Christmas was relaxed and enjoyable (In spite of the attempted interference of noisy neighbours trying to report us for a non existent breach of rules), and overall, I am proud of the way we all managed to get through the year with absolutely no help from our government. This generous lack of support continues into the new year, and I enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling of being deemed as unimportant (Spoiler: I don’t).

This year continues with a new lockdown, but, hopefully, light at the end of the tunnel. The United States seems to be narrowly rejecting Fascism, Spurs are at Wembley again, and I have got my writing mojo back. It’s all very odd, but considering what NHS staff and Teaching staff are going through, I must count my blessings
